The u8's I think have stunned everyone this year going the full season unbeaten and winning their league campaign by right. LFA rulings prohibit the publication of league tables in this age group but that doesn't detract from the exceptional performances put in this year. What a credit these lads and lasses are to the club. Paula and Jack have done an excellent job with this team and must be extremely proud of their achievements. It has to be a well done to everyone and surely Saints team of the season.
The Rooks u11's have had a hard campaign faltering slightly towards the end of the season losing a couple of games but with just one game left the league title is well secured. Another exceptional performance from the lads who show their fighting spirit and will to win week in week out. Another great job done by the manager and coach James and Daniel.
The u9's are fighting hard in their league to maintain third place and with four games to play anything can happen. It's a funny old game is football.
u10's have secured runners up spot in their league after a hard season, I'm not sure what the expectations were from them but the Coach Aidy has done a magnificent job getting them in this position.
As everyone is probably aware by now the u12's had to be withdrawn from the league because of lack of players, hopefully the team will not fold and can be re-assembled for next season.
The u14's have had a hard year and their league position of next to bottom gives a false impression of this team. The lads have for a number of games played with men short but still went out and gave it their best. If any Saints team deserved more for their efforts then it should be these lads. Tom the coach has had a hard time for lots of reasons this year and the thing to be gleaned from their games is that they are not a bad side and have some very talented and comitted players.
