Parent/Guardian Code Of Conduct
At Padiham Saints we will be teaching the boys technical football skills
and helping them to develop good habits. We are sure that you will already be aware
that children develop at different rates and at different ages. Children may
make mistakes as they learn, however if used positively, they will learn from
those mistakes. As parents you have the responsibility to help and encourage
your child and other members of the club.
At Padiham Saints we need to work co-operatively with parents to make
the club as successful as possible. We would welcome any support you are able
to give and rely on you to transport your son and at other times mayb other
team members to training sessions and games.
Whilst supporting your son/daughter we would ask you to follow the
following Code Of Conduct.
1.
Please encourage in a positive way, do not shout or
criticise if a player makes a mistake.
2.
Encourage your child to play by the rules.
3.
Applaud good play and encourage sporting behaviour
from both sides.
4.
Do not use foul or abusive language. Help us to remove
verbal, physical and racial abuse from football.
5.
Do not question the decision of any officials.
6.
Monitor the amount of physical exercise that your
child is doing. Young people can over-exercise, which can cause problems in
later life.
7.
Do not coach from the sidelines. We know that you mean
well however it sometimes can cause more harm than good. Please leave to the
manager and coaches.
8.
Allow your child to take some responsibility for match
preparation i.e. cleaning football boots, preparing drinks.
9.
Your support is always welcome.
The managers and coaches will always find time to
listen to any comments or concerns that you may have. We would like you to feel
you can approach us at any time.
